History
Worcester Surfacing is part of Cheltenham Surfacing Company Limited a great example of a family business, now in its fourth generation.
In 1959 Ronnie Moore recognised the need for a professional and quality tarmac business in an industry which has at times suffered from a transient workforce, often giving a less than satisfactory service. Right from the outset Worcester Surfacing and its parent company Cheltenham Surfacing looked to offer a higher standard of professionalism.
Ronnie’s son John Moore joined him at the age of 21, learning the business from the bottom up, from laying tarmac to then becoming more and more involved in sales and management. John continued to build up the business after Ronnie passed away. Later John’s son Stephen then joined the business, again working in all the various roles within the business. John formally handed over the reins to his son Stephen in 1998. Who still runs both Worcester and Cheltenham Surfacing today.
The business has continued to grow from strength to strength, now celebrating more than 50 years in business. It has successfully diversified into property development and contracts, as well as continuing to service its core markets of surfacing driveways, roads, tennis courts and sports surfaces.
Based in Gloucestershire, the business works on projects from Birmingham to Bournemouth and from Swindon to Southampton. Worcester Surfacing is part of Cheltenham Surfacing and covers the whole of Worcestershire and the surrounding area.
For efficient and professional surfacing work, Worcester Surfacing has what it takes to get the job done on time and on budget.
